Thank You…

A Heartfelt Thank You

Last night, thanks to your help, the parking lot of Pub 6T5 was completely filled. I did not get a true count, but based on how sore my hand was by the end of the night, I would imagine I signed around 60 or 70 books. There were at least 100 people inside of the bar and a great time was had by all. The bartenders could not believe the turnout. It was the perfect ending to an already fantastic week.

As we close out launch week, I want to give a sincere thank you to the people who have supported me on this journey of publishing. The amount of people who showed up for me last night was amazing and seeing my novel in their hands gave me a feeling difficult to describe. I know I have said it before, but this has truly been a dream come true.

As we wrap up launch week, let’s take a look at some of the amazing things we have done together. Here’s this week by the numbers:

  • Whalers has spent all week in the Top 5 New Releases for Contemporary Fiction.
  • 187 copies of Whalers have been sold. We are just 13 away from a 200 copy week.
  • Kindle Unlimited users have read 1,462 pages of Whalers this week. That’s like reading the entire book over 6 times. This doesn’t include those who bought the book, but those that found it and read it for free on Kindle’s subscription service.

As we move forward, I’m going to start focusing on writing the next book for you guys (so all those who read Whalers in 24 hours have some more of me to read). As I do, I will continue to blog here, but some amazing things are going to be happening in my writing world.

Reedsy, a website that connects writers with editors and designers, got wind of our release. They know I used their site to find an editor and cover designer and saw all the great reviews, ratings, and publicity Whalers has gotten. They reached out in hopes of writing a story for their website about my journey and my use of Reedsy to help publish this book. Stay tuned for that!

A great friend of mine texted me the day Whalers was released and said: “Congrats on your book release. Something to be proud of and it’s only the beginning.”

That’s a great thought to end this week with. This is only the beginning. I have so much left in the tank.

Let’s keep telling our friends about the novel.

Let’s keep leaving our ratings and reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.

Let’s subscribe to this website so that you get all the up to date coverage on my next novel and on coverage of this journey.

And let’s celebrate!

Love you all.
