Whalers is a “Reedsy Success Story”

For those unfamiliar with the website Reedsy, here’s the short of it. Reedsy is a website for authors to connect with editors, book coaches, cover designers, among a litany of other professionals looking to elevate books to the next level.

I first discovered Reedsy after completing my first draft. It was through their website where I connected with my editor, Jenna Love Schrader, and ultimately my cover designer, Victoria Heath Silk.

Reedsy also has a “discover” page, where authors can post their books after publishing for an editorial review and for some exposure. I posted Whalers to the discover page and thought nothing more of it.

The editorial review came first. Five stars (posted here for those who missed it), a glowing endorsement of the novel.

Then, the email came a few days later.
