Ranking My Favorite Replies to My (Semi) Viral Tweet

Some tweets just have a way of getting the people talking.

This one, from a few days ago, did just that. 10K views. 145 likes. 17 retweets. 111 comments and counting. Some people agree, some people disagree, some people think I’m an absolute *beeping* moron. The replies on this thread provided me constant entertainment the last few days, so I thought I’d rank some of my favorites.

HONORABLE MENTION: @BrianLoweWriter

A really “on the fence” reply from Brian here, but it’s nice to see someone with some rational sense. True, everyone does have their own way of doing things. Very mature. As you will see with some of the later entries on this list, not everyone has this kind of rational maturity on Twitter, so shout out to Brian.

5th Place: @JGuentherAuthor

We have to trust J because he’s written a ton of books. If you don’t believe me, just check out how he attached all his covers to his reply to let me know that he is an experienced author and that I’m wrong and he is right. My favorite cover is the one with the lion and the swastica on it. I thought people were cancelled for using swasticas in 2025, but J clearly knows what he is doing, because if you look at his Amazon, the swastica book is his only one with more than 3 ratings/reviews.

4th Place: @fade_colors

Saw a lot of this kind of response, too — how a month actually was TOO SHORT to start editing and revising a draft. ColorsFadeGaming thinks that you need a month and half to two months minimum. I think that’s absolutely insane, but who am I to argue with ColorsFadeGaming? I love all of his books….

3rd Place: @Court_Reinland

Court here makes a lot of sense, especially in the second half of his reply. But I really dislike the hero worship of people like Stephen King. He’s just a person, too. But Court feels that if Stephen King did it, then everyone should, right? How could he be wrong? He’s the guy who said that adverbs were the devil and that the Epstein logs were as real as the tooth fairy. He was also on a massive bender when he wrote Cujo and doesn’t remember writing a word of it. Should I do that? If it worked for Stephen King…

2nd Place: @ExtremelyAvg

Now we’re talking. Brian is a legend. He’s such a good writer, he doesn’t even revise at all. No taking a month off when you don’t even need to revise a word of it. It’s perfect as is. Now that’s the kind of writer I’m looking for in my replies. Who needs to edit and revise? Just do it perfectly the first time. Makes total sense to me.

1st place: @LadyLily_Writer

That’s hurtful, Lily. I happen to think that writing very much is for me. In fact, my novel, Whalers, currently has 53 Amazon reviews, and 37 Goodreads reviews, with an average rating of 4.6 on both. You should pick up a copy and let me know what you think! You can find the novel by clicking the link here and read the Goodreads reviews here.

Love you guys. Even Lily.
