Medusa is Finished (and More Updates)

(Scroll to the bottom for upcoming release dates)
This has been a long time coming.
I started Medusa: Or, Men Entombed in Winter before my first novel was even released. It started as a man running away from a cult with two young daughters, but quickly grew and grew and became something so much more.
A little less than a year later, the novel is finally done.
I’ve blogged a few times with updates. The first was this one in March, introducing it to the world for the first time. The first draft was finished in May, I gave an update in July after hearing from my editor, and asked for beta readers a little more than a month ago.
Now, I’m so excited to say that final edits and revisions are complete, and the novel ready for reviews and publishing.
Medusa is far more than a book about a cult.
It is a story of fathers and children, of legacies handed down, distorted, or denied. It’s a story about how a father’s presence, or his absence, reverberates through a life.
It is a story of belonging and identity, about how fragile people cling to fragile ideas, desperate to believe in something larger than themselves.
It is a story of the gray line between good and evil, and how everyone is given a choice, but for some, the path to goodness is littered with obstacles others will never face.
And at its core, it is the story of a girl named Meddy, who takes the raw wounds of her past and fashions it into a world of her own… one that promises salvation, but may deliver ruin.
One of my beta readers told me that Medusa was “one of the best written novels [they’ve] read in a long time.”
I sent the novel to Saffron Asteria, host of the BOOKED podcast and owner of Indiosyncrasy.com, ahead of an appearance I will make on her podcast in February. She called it “one of [her] top reads of 2025”.

Over the course of the next few months, I will be sending the novel to other websites, podcasts, and publications for reviews. They will be posted on this website as soon as I get them.
So, where do we go from here?
As I mentioned above, next step for me is to get the book reviewed and post those reviews on here. Then, I will reach out to my cover designer and reveal the cover art. Then, on a cold week in February, the novel will release and my podcast appearance will take place.
Here’s a tentative list of dates:
Reviews Posted: Throughout October and November
Cover Reveal: Friday, December 19th
Release Date: Tuesday, February 24th
BOOKED Podcast Appearance: Wednesday, February 25th, 2025
